It is over six years since we bid goodbye to Mummy through tearful eyes.
She had left us for a better place where there is no pain and no more suffering.
She used to ask:
"Why is God was not calling me?.
Why is he keeping me so long?"
Had he forgotten? The call come after 89 years on 16th Oct 2015.
Life had become difficult for her the last 3 years. All her siblings had departed, so had most of her friends and relatives. For someone who valued her independence it was tough.
Mum had just become a great grandmother when my daughter gave birth to Alan4 exactly a month ago. She has seen him on whatsapp.
When things took a bad turn we had the choice of prolonging the agony with more life supports. We declined & had to let her go. We did not want her to live like a vegetable.It was agony waiting for the inevitable.
Mum was so lucky to have a daughter like Violet who cared for her & for a son like Peter who was always there for her no matter what.
A mother is the most precious person in your life. Someone who has sacrificed so much, brought you to this world & taught you to be the person you are.
Mum helped us raise our kids, her grand-kids whom she cherished. We are sad to have to say goodbye.
